Harold  “Hal” Gelman passed away in his La Mesa home surrounded by his family on January 22 after a valiant fight with lung cancer.  Hal is survived by his wife Sonia, children Gregory, Kim, Lynne and Joseph, his sons in law, Andrew Turner and Philip Shtoll, daughter in law, Angelica Vargas de Gelman and his grandchildren, Logan and Ellery Turner, Jackson Shtoll and Bryan and Alexis.  He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Ethel Sodorofsky Gelman and brothers Harvey and Melvin Gelman.

A private, family graveside service was held on Monday, January 25 at El Camino Cemetery in Sorrento Valley.
